The WAB in Practice:
Yellowstone specialises in payroll services and contract management. The Dutch company has already been quite busy with the consequences of the new act. Curious? Here’s an example from Yellowstone’s daily practice. Most of Yellowstone’s clients are large and medium-sized recruitment and selection agencies that place specialists with mostly listed companies on a project basis. On its foundation over 20 years ago, the company already decided not to concern itself with recruitment and selection, so co-owner Antoinette Willems says. This was a deliberate choice not to compete with its clients. But what about the new act?
The main insight: Yellowstone will continue to call itself a payroll company even after the introduction of the new act. It will be a huge administrative challenge for Yellowstone to continue to comply with all regulations (user company remuneration, contracts with clients and adjusting employment contracts) but at least it will make things clear to clients.
