Important changes

for 2024

Here are some important changes for 2024 that we’d like to share with you;

𝟭. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟭𝟴:
The admission age has been lowered from 21 to 18 years.
Temporary workers aged 18 and over will take part in the pension plan right away from their first temp job.

𝟮. 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗣𝗣
The preliminary franchise for pension premiums in 2024 is EUR 8.45 (EUR 7.86 in 2023).
The provisional maximum pensionable hourly wage has been increased to EUR 38.26 (EUR 35.77 in 2023).
The premium percentages for the basic and the plus plan will remain the same.

𝟯. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗲:
The state pension age has gone up from 66 years and ten months to 67 years.

𝟰. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗔𝗪𝗪 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 (𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗲-𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗚𝗔 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀)
The Stichting PAWW, which regulates private supplements to benefits under the Unemployment Act and the Return to Work (Partially Disabled Persons) Regulations, has reduced the 2024 premium from 0.15% to 0.08%.

𝟱. 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲:
On 1 January the maximum untaxed travel allowance was raised from EUR 0.21 to EUR 0.23 per kilometre.

𝟲. 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱:
The maximum untaxed homeworking allowance was increased on 1 January from EUR 2.15 to EUR 2.35 per day.

𝟳. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘂𝗽:
Transition of statutory minimum wage per month to statutory minimum wage per hour. Starting on 1 January 2024 the statutory minimum wage will be EUR 13.27 gross per hour (for workers aged 21 years and older). This minimum might be raised again by 1.2% on 1 July 2024, if the Lower House approves the legislative proposal.
